Ignoring Glenn Beck — And Us
The American people see the disconnect between “saved” jobs and near double-digit unemployment. They are weary of a government so out-of-touch that once again we seem to have taxation without representation. They see a government making war on job-creators, punishing success and rewarding failure, redistributing wealth while creating none. They see an energy policy that produces no energy in order to save a planet that is not in danger.

U.S. Auto Sales May Hit 28-Year Low as Discounts Flop
U.S. auto sales in August probably were the slowest for the month in 28 years as model-year closeout deals failed to entice consumers concerned the economy is worsening and they may lose their jobs. How’s that illegal bailout thing working?

Endowed With Inalienable Rights . . . By Whom?
The very first line of the (UN Human Rights) report states: “The story of the United States of America is one guided by universal values shared the world over–that all are created equal and endowed with inalienable rights.” Perhaps I’m being too picky or hypersensitive, but I couldn’t help but ask upon reading that sentence, “Would it have killed you to say that all are endowed by their Creator with certain inalienable rights?” After, the Declaration of Independence (to which the report is plainly alluding) uses that language.
