The Productive Vote Against Obama’s Economic Delusions

The more they intervene and impose their ideology on the economy, the more business will refrain from doing anything other than digging deeper bunkers to wait the madness out.

No matter what Washington believes is good for the country, if it is not perceived as such by its economic actors there will be no economic recovery. No amount of propaganda associated with “hope and change” can alter the first commandment of human behavior — people act in their own best interest.

Government policies ignore this commandment, believing people can be “managed” or “nudged” to fit some central planner’s scheme. This error plagues all socialist schemes, ultimately destroying the economic base of a country. In this respect, Washington’s results will be no different than those of Russia, North Korea, Cuba or a myriad of other failed experiments.

Obama may have won the electoral college, but he has not won productive America. Their response to his re-election is vastly different from that of the hard-core Democrat zombies who voted for him. The productive think, one of the reasons they are productive. They don’t like the outcome of the election are beginning to vote with their money and decisions as the Gallup survey below indicates.

Perhaps Atlas is not shrugging yet, but he surely is hunkering down. More harmful economic policy and regulation is anticipated and will exacerbate the withdrawal of business from the economy. Atlas is not a fool and didn’t become successful without careful analysis and preparation. Washington believes it can manage the economy. Its leaders have little business experience, especially the President and his closest advisers.

The more they intervene and impose their ideology on the economy, the more business will refrain from doing anything other than digging deeper bunkers to wait the madness out. Government can do whatever it wants and will be unable to change this reaction from the productive sector.

Oh wait, there is one thing that it could do to turn the country around and convince business that they have seen the light. They could reverse course and repeal much of the idiocy that has passed for policy. But that will not happen with the current group. Ideologues never believe the problem is with their ideas. That is why they resort to coercion in a foolish attempt to move toward their utopias.

Here is Gallup’s report on the early voting from business on the re-election of Barack Hussein Obama:

U.S. Small-Business Owners’ Hiring Intentions Plunge

Net hiring over the past 12 months declined to -12, down from -7 in July

by Dennis Jacobe

PRINCETON, NJ — U.S. small-business owners expect to add fewer net new jobs over the next 12 months than at any time since the depths of the 2008-2009 recession, according to this November’s Wells Fargo/Gallup Small Business Index survey. Small-business owners’ net hiring intentions for the next 12 months plunged to -4 in November, down from +10 in July and matching the previous record low recorded by the Wells Fargo/Small Business Index of -4 in November 2008.

The Wells Fargo/Gallup quarterly survey was conducted Nov. 12-16, 2012, with a random sample of 607 small-business owners. The same survey found small-business owners are increasingly pessimistic about their businesses’ current situation and their expectations for the next 12 months.
