This CFIF video juxtaposes Obama’s new “jobs” speech with his old statements which are virtually the same claims he used for his failed “stimulus” which was just disguised redistribution of wealth to Obama supporters.

If he, (Obama) would stop trying to fatten up all the corrupt labor union bosses with both “payback” funds for his 2008 election and “pay-ahead” funds for the upcoming 2012 reelection then maybe, but just maybe, we could get some real jobs created for our fourteen or so million American citizens who are now unemployed.

Morally there is no difference between an environmentalist who bans DDT at the price of millions of malaria deaths, the Unabomber who selects his victims personally, the anarchist who smashes store windows and dreams of smashing structural steel, and a terrorist who rides a passenger plane into the World Trade Center. Each glories in destruction for its own sake, and each advocates death as the epitome of that destruction. It is no accident that they are all defined in terms of “anti-something.”

You don’t see how governments can borrow their way out of debt? You’re just revealing your ignorance! You’ve had to cut back on your own spending, and you think the public sector ought to do the same? You know nothing about economics! You worry that we’re leaving our children with an unprecedented debt level? Go away and do GCSE history!

Since we have yet to address the real cause of this recession, we are moving inexorably closer to causing The Greater Depression. If policymakers and mainstream economists fail to understand that the progenitor of a depression is debt and inflation, they will also be unable to provide a genuine solution. And the “solutions” they do offer are tantamount to seeking the avoidance of a hangover by forcing down a few more drinks.

We are living by the socialist mantra that each shall provide to the rulers according to their means. The rulers will then use the money to subsidize those they who will support them politically with votes or money and to provide distracting circuses.

The “welfare state” chickens, as the Belfast cabbie observed, are now coming home to roost. As governments take more away from their producing citizens and give it to their nonproducers, growth stagnates and opportunities dry up.

Words like transitory, quantitative easing, extended period, and liquidity are used by Professor Bernanke to obscure what he is doing to the average American. He lives in a world of theories and models, while the rest of us live in the real world, where theories kill and impoverish millions.

What is different today is that there has been — for decades — a steady drumbeat of media and political hype about differences in income, education and other outcomes, blaming these differences on oppression against those with fewer achievements or lesser prosperity.

Moreover, there has been a growing tolerance of lawlessness and a growing intolerance toward the idea that people who are lagging need to take steps to raise themselves up, instead of trying to pull others down. – Washington Examiner

Today crony capitalists and the politicians who advance and protect them have brought our economy to the brink of disaster. Once again after brutal investigations and maximum exposure no one has been expelled from the corridors of power and no one has been prosecuted.
