What Nelson and others like him really mean is that the people must be stopped from reclaiming their own government. Nelson is one of many Democrats who have announced retirement instead of facing an angry constituency. The people are angry at the massive corruption fueled by unprecedented spending and stifling ideologically driven rules and regulations.
