President Obama appears to want to institutionalize the spoils system by making political affiliation part of the bidding process on federal contracts. Rather than awarding the contracts to the companies that provide the best combination of prices and services, the contracts may flow to political allies.

Desperate Dems seek to ram through campaign restrictions before November
Democrat lobbyists like Fred Wertheimer, the president of Democracy 21, which has received heavy funding from George Soros’ Open Society Institute, the Carnegie Corporation of New York, the Joyce Foundation, and the Pew Charitable Trusts want the DISCLOSE ACT pushed through before the November elections to stifle Republican campaign supporters but enable unions free reign.
