Obama is sending green jobs to Finland, Malaysia, or Mexico and billions of our tax dollars to Spain, Britain, and even China.

Wind energy is parasitic – totally dependent on fossil fuels for backup power, with every megawatt of wind power supported by a megawatt of redundant coal or natural gas generating plants. So wind cannot possibly or meaningfully reduce emissions.

Interested parties who stood to gain financially and politicians chose smart growth, smart meters, smart grid, land grabs, land stewardship and preservation, water conservation in the name of the taxpayers. Their choices and decisions are now being pushed in every county and state that has adopted UN Agenda 21 initiatives through generous government grants and ICLEI partners.

That should really help the economy! Remember Obama told us his plan would “necessarily make electricity rates skyrocket.”

[H]undreds of years of fossil fuels still remain to be tapped. Just as significantly, much of it is in own ‘backyards’ – and away from the control of dictatorial regimes who use current reserves as geopolitical leverage.

Every “green job” created with government money in Spain over the last eight years came at the cost of 2.2 regular jobs, and only one in 10 of the newly created green jobs became a permanent job. Now the same union socialist policies being pushed here by Obama are collapsing the economy in Spain.

Environmentalists, Native American tribes, fishermen and historic preservationists are among those fighting the plan, which has the support of Mass. Gov. Deval Patrick, who wants to expand the state’s “clean energy” industry.

They cooked up their own “memo” to discredit the foreign academics, effectively making the Energy Department a taxpayer-subsidized arm of green activists.
