Obama’s “green” jobs lies

The BLS’ new category of “green goods and services” uses an arbitrary and expansive definition to inflate its numbers, but even if the accounting made sense, the category would still be useless for policymakers. If the government really wants to help with job creation, it should just get out of the private sector’s way.

Krauthammer: Obama shuts down coal industry, kills jobs, raises electric rates – offers algae

Obama warned us in 2008 that under his plan “electricity rates would necessarily have to skyrocket.” He also told crowds that he would ask Americans to “sacrifice” by paying higher energy costs and higher gas prices. America had a collective brain freeze in electing Obama in 2008. Will we let it happen again?

Fossil Fuel Production (Coal, Oil, Gas) on Federal Lands Falls to Lowest Level in 9 Years, Since 2003

Obama boldly deceives the public as he loudly proclaims drilling is up. But as we have shown for years Obama’s radical anti-energy policies are driving down production everywhere he has a real impact. His tyrannical EPA has also reached out and is now destroying private coal plants too which is driving up costs of electricity.

Coal heats up as campaign issue for Obama

Lawmakers on both sides of the partisan aisle say Obama administration environmental regulations aimed at cutting greenhouse gas emissionsare poised to hit jobs and consumers harder than the Keystone XL decision at the same time the president seems to have abandoned his stated support for the coal industry and clean-coal technology. – Washington Times

Little Green Morons

After three years of the most astonishingly stupid and wasteful green energy policies inflicted on Americans, it is hard keeping score of the various beneficiaries of government largess that are going bankrupt. The most famous at this point is Solyndra that went belly up taking a half billion in loan guarantees—taxpayer funded—with it. Beacon Power, a green energy storage plant, filed for bankruptcy last fall took with it $43 million of more Department of Energy loan guarantees. Ener1, touted during a visit by Vice President Joe Biden—who inadvertently called it “Enron1”—filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy. The electric car battery maker had received a $118 million grant from the Obama administration.

Charles Manson energy

Wind energy is unsustainable. It kills unconscionable numbers of bats, raptors and other birds. It requires billions in perpetual subsidies – and billions more for (mostly) gas-fired backup generators. Its expensive, unreliable electricity kills two jobs for every one supposedly created.

ExxonMobil’s 2012 Outlook for Energy

IRVING, Texas, Dec 08, 2011 – Less-carbon-intensive fuels, particularly natural gas, gain market share, while coal peaks and begins a decline for the first time in modern history. –Gas from shale and other unconventional rock formations will account for 30 percent of global gas production by 2040. –Demand growth would be more than four times the projected 30 percent without expected gains in efficiency. Demand for energy will rise through 2040 as global economic output doubles and prosperity expands across […]

Obama is Killing Energy, Killing Jobs, Killing America

America has been under attack since Barack Obama took the oath of office on January 20, 2009. The primary target has been the nation’s ability to generate energy for electricity and transportation, without which this nation will slide into Third World status and economic decline.

No electricity for jobs with EPA’s looming blackouts

It’s called the Cross-State Pollution Rule, announced last month, and its implementation over the next 18 months will likely result in the loss of a fifth of the nation’s electricity-generating capacity. The result will be likely power shortages, skyrocketing rates and inevitable brownouts and rolling blackouts.
