President Obama believes the Constitution is flawed, because it only speaks of “negative” liberties and it merely restrains government instead of empowering it. Obama has taken a lot of heat for deliberately leaving out “by their Creator” every time he has quoted the Declaration of Independence. He must be feeling the pressure.

In the closing remarks of his Hispanic caucus speech, Obama recites part of the Declaration of Independence, and leaves out “by their Creator.” The State Department’s report to the U.N. High Commissioner for Human Rights also left out “by their Creator” in its opening lines.
