[M]ost of these evangelicals and Catholics send their kids to colleges dominated by these secular liberals, where all the ideals and values the youngsters learned at home and at their churches is rapidly undermined in four years—with the faithful parents unwittingly paying for the undermining.

Our schools have become nothing more than leftist indoctrination centers. More time in these indoctrination camps will not improve education. There has been no improvement in real education since the 2nd worst president, Jimmy Carter, gave the unions the Department of Education to control schools. Two trillion dollars has been spent on education with nothing to show for it. It’s time to eliminate the Department of Indoctrination and give schools back to their communities. More ….

The President conflates the quantity of teachers with their quality. At best, these two factors are uncorrelated. At worst—in those few states and districts which pay teachers based on performance—the two factors are negatively correlated …

Chicago teachers also get the highest pay. Plus their state is going bankrupt. But none of that will put the brakes on the runaway greed of public sector unions, which are devouring the country from within like a monstrous tapeworm.

If I were a Klansman, wanting to sabotage black education, I couldn’t find better allies than education establishment liberals and officials in the Obama administration, especially Secretary of Education Arne Duncan
