Instead of directing their time and energy to issues that could use their support and attention – like the plight of women suffering under the boot of Muslim extremism – the majority of American feminists choose to focus on comparatively petty concerns.

This devaluing of the role of mother and fulltime homemaker is imbedded in the psyche of the feminists who are major players in the Obama Administration. Don’t forget that when the feminists started their movement in the late 1960s and early 1970s, they called themselves the women’s liberation movement, i.e., their goal was to be liberated from home, husband, and children.

American feminists are guilty of gross hypocrisy. Their silence on the plight of Muslim women is truly deafening.

Obama’s principal plan to nail down the loyalty of the feminists is to pass the Paycheck Fairness Act (PFA). It has already passed the House, and Majority Leader Harry Reid plans a Senate vote in a mischievous lame duck session.

A good Father’s Day gift would be to reform the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA), make it gender-neutral, and assure men that family courts will accord them constitutional rights equivalent to those enjoyed by murderers and robbers.
