About a third of Americans won’t be willingly sold into slavery. Another third will, perhaps out of ignorance, fear, ideology or even smug confidence that their own gang will be the ruling authorities, so what the heck. Another third of Americans wobble in the middle. In the heat of emotion, they’re all for the next government control.

Today we have small leaders with small ideas. Freedom is a fragile thing. Like all abusers or tyrants, the leaders a majority of us have empowered to push us around and keep advancing the line of collective slavery away from individual liberty may go one step too far.

If the government can ban sales of large sodas, it can also ban sales of foods and other products it does not deem healthy. And the next step is to dictate what products we must buy in order to stay healthy or lose weight.

It is impossible to grow our way out of this hole. Arithmetic, rather than economics or politics, dictates the two options! The Ponzi scheme known as the democratic welfare state has run its course. Only its obituary is left to write.
