After five years of campaigning, and spending tens of millions of dollars, Romney is almost exactly where he was in 2008–at 25% of the vote. Romney’s failure to grow his base and close the deal with conservatives tonight will undoubtedly renew the establishment’s search for a new candidate to replace the flagging Romney.

Obama was confronted by Tea party activists in Decorah, Iowa during one of his stops on his Economy Bust Tour. The tea party activists asked Obama about Joe Biden’s comments that tea partiers were “terrorists.” Obama refused to even admit that Biden made the comment.
Bachmann leads in Iowa, Pawlenty eats dust as former warmer
Romney fell four points behind Bachmann’s 25 percent and Pawlenty was a distant third in a virtual tie with Herman Cain at around 9 percent.
