The current leadership in Washington should spare workers and small businesses the soaring rhetoric and lofty aspirations concerning job growth and economic development and simply tell us the truth, jobs be damned, the payoffs to union bosses will continue.

Obama administration takes low road with union favored construction policies
The Service Employees International Union, which has been one of the leading advocates for the High Road policy, has repeatedly refused to comment on the proposal or its lobbying efforts.
Documents confirm White House pushing pro-union contracting policies
Following the report Republicans slammed the proposal, with Sen. Tom Coburn of Oklahoma referring to it as “backdoor card check.” Other critics, led by Sen. Susan Collins of Maine, worry the new rules would increase the cost of government contracting by as much as 20 percent, or more than $100 billion annually, while further slowing the procurement process.
Union labor to trump cost on govt projects
In another underhanded move to pay off union supporters, the Obama administration is going to allow ‘preference’ to contractors and suppliers that match union benefits and wages. The “High Road Contracting Policy” would allow companies to win federal bids without being the low bidder if they are union or match all union benefits and labor rules.
