Obama’s nomination of Chuck Hagel as Pentagon chief and the sale of Al Gore’s Current TV to Al Jazeera—are coming together in a way that illustrates the role that the foreign propaganda channel can and will play if Congress lets the television deal go through.

Unfortunately, if past experience in Iran is any guide, the Obama administration will align itself with the jihadist oppressors, rather than their anti-Islamist opponents. It will try to thwart any congressional effort to restrict further engagement with the Morsi regime, for example by cutting off or conditioning foreign aid and military sales.

Just as the nations in the 1930s tried to ignore the threat of Nazi Germany and sought to appease it, we are living through a similar process as Iran continues its relentless quest for nuclear weapons.

Romney claims Iran will not get a nuke if he is elected. Israel claims they can do it and refuse to agree to notify the US ahead of any strike. Why should they after the way Obama has treated them?
