Interested parties who stood to gain financially and politicians chose smart growth, smart meters, smart grid, land grabs, land stewardship and preservation, water conservation in the name of the taxpayers. Their choices and decisions are now being pushed in every county and state that has adopted UN Agenda 21 initiatives through generous government grants and ICLEI partners.

For Barack Obama, the “change you can believe in” entails the transformation of the United States from an opportunity society based on merit and markets to a social democracy that focuses on redistribution and political dominance of civil society. Compromise was anathema to Wilson and is repulsive to Obama when it comes to programs dear to the heart of each:

[H]andouts already cost $522 billion per year before Obama took office. He increased this giant amount to $697 billion per year in the first half of his term, and now half of Americans depend for their living expenses in whole or in part on government handouts paid by the other half who pay income taxes.

UN Agenda 21 has the goal of wealth redistribution and central planning of your life under the guise of “saving the planet.” Many communities have adopted these guidelines without a thorough review by their citizens.

Van Jones a self avowed communist and former White House staffer tells an audience that Paul Ryan’s budget will destroy more infrastructure than al-qaeda. Jones was Obama’s “green jobs” czar who is a spread the wealth (take it form those who have it and give it to people you like) activist that now works for the Center for American Progress which advises Obama.

The liberal vision of government is easily understood and makes perfect sense if one acknowledges their misunderstanding and implied assumptions about the sources of income. Their vision helps explain the language they use and policies they support, such as income redistribution and calls for the rich to give something back.

Progressive preachers probably identify with Chinese President Hu Jintao’s intention to reduce his citizenry’s income gap in order to create a “harmonious society.” The Communist’s sentiment saturates the politics of the Democratic Party.

They’re all disturbing signs of a union going mad over its own irrelevance and taking up more goonish tactics. Whatever it is, it has no place in civil society, and should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
