With 43 Catholic institutions suing the government it looks like the Obama dictatorship will have a tough job proving that the HHS mandate to force leftist actions on religious organizations has a government wrench in the works. The 1993 law puts the burden of proof on the government.

Maybe that is why Obama leaves God out of everything. The constitution says the government shall make no law prohibiting the free exercise of religion.

Does anyone find it ironic that the very people who protest so loudly over supposed affronts to Islamic religious expression are often so hostile to the slightest Christian religious expressions — even incidental expressions?

An Alliance Defense Fund allied attorney has secured a $1.15 million settlement on behalf of Saint Benedict Center of Richmond in a lawsuit over the town’s unconstitutional zoning restrictions. The center contended officials singled it out for discrimination after certain officials expressed their view that the church’s moral positions on matters such as abortion and homosexual behavior are “abhorrent.”
