As long as the U.S. remains a non-party to the treaty, our rights are enforceable by the U.S. Navy. But once ratification takes place, we are at the mercy of foreign interests, including Russia and China, as well as international lawyers and bureaucrats.

DOJ handed Issa a victory, announcing that acting AFT director Kenneth Melson, who has led the agency since 2009, was being replaced and transferred to the Office of Legal Policy. The news came in conjunction with a separate announcement that the U.S. Attorney for Arizona, Dennis Burke, was resigning. Burke oversaw the legal aspects of the Fast and Furious operation, providing advice to agents involved. – The Hill

In Bravard County which is the home of the space shuttle program Obama campaigned on an expanded NASA space program, continued jobs for space program workers and a “vision” for US leadership in space. “Let me be clear. We cannot cede our leadership in space. That’s why I’m going to close the gap, insure that our space program does not suffer when the shuttle goes out of service. …by continuing to support NASA funding..”
