An unbearable debt problem was addressed by making it bigger and more threatening. Government spending was out of control and unsustainable. That problem was “solved” by increasing spending massively. Problems that were intractable were transformed into impossible. Nothing has been solved on the economic front. Everything has been made worse!

As President Obama visits Cushing, Oklahoma today in a desperate attempt to claim credit for expediting the southern leg of the Keystone XL pipeline, Speaker Boehner noted that President Obama has rejected and personally lobbied against the pipeline, and that there’s only one permit requiring his approval — the one he is currently blocking to facilitate the flow of Canadian and American energy to U.S. refineries.
