Subsidies are much worse that just wasteful, they’re diabolical. They lull us into thinking we have almost solved the problem and they hinder us from seeking the real solutions.

The U.S. right now has a mandate for ethanol content in fuel. I think it should be very, very wise for [the] U.S. to stop doing that. And Europe should also stop doing that as well,”

Obama’s green rules that make cars less affordable – and less safe – hurt the poor. The standards mean poor families won’t be able to afford new vehicles – and in many cases even decent used vehicles. Far worse, the new mileage requirements will likely cause thousands of additional and unnecessary injuries and deaths.
