“The Justice Department’s complaint that Arizona has somehow preempted federal law is nothing short of ridiculous,” Republican Study Committee Chairman Tom Price, R-Ga., said in a statement to the media. “Arizona has simply reinforced longstanding federal laws, whose enforcement the Obama administration is now actively seeking to prevent . . . States like Arizona should not have to act on their own, but Washington’s decades of neglect for border security leave them no choice. The federal government should be vigorously securing the border, not suing the State of Arizona.”

This is about amnesty. This administration has done everything they can to not enforce the law. This is a president who is acting like a dictator.

“My concern is that the federal government is suing the state of Arizona, ironically, over the ability to enforce immigration laws — where if the federal government had been doing its job over the years, we wouldn’t be in this situation in the first place,” Rep. Gabrielle Giffords, D-Ariz., said.

The Obama administration’s lawsuit against Arizona, officially unveiled on Tuesday, is an affront to all law-abiding Americans. It is a threatening salvo aimed at all local, county, or state governments that dare to take control of the immigration chaos in their own backyards. And it is being driven by open-borders extremists who have dedicated their political careers to subverting homeland-security policies in the name of “compassion” and “diversity.”

A law that basically makes a few small, carefully considered changes in police procedure, Arizona’s S.B. 1070, has inspired a vastly disproportionate response.

The Obama administration has so politicized the Department of Justice that we are suing our own states for enforcing the law. Our porous border is a grave national security issue that is being held hostage by Obama and the Democrat’s agenda for mass amnesty for illegal immigrants to increase their voter base.

President Obama wants to change immigration policy based on his political agenda, not what’s in the law. The Obama Administration seems to believe that the President has the authority to set aside a state law because it is contrary to his political agenda, suspend the enforcement of federal laws for political reasons, and seize from Congress the legislative power to grant an amnesty. So much for a country governed by the rule of law, not the rule of man.

Big news about the racist DOJ in having a policy of not prosecuting voter intimidation cases if white people are victims and suing the state of Arizona for trying to protect its citizens from drug violence and huge illegal immigration costs when the Obama administration fails in its duty to secure the borders and enforce the similar federal immigration laws. Had enough?

The main constitutional duty of the government is the security of its citizens. The Obama administration is a dismal failure in this main duty and all for partisan political reasons.

Even as President Obama declares America’s border with Mexico safe, members of his own party in Arizona say he’s dead wrong. Drug violence all along the border is surpassing the violence in Iraq and Afghanistan — an important fact behind Arizona’s popular immigration law.
