What would happen if such a piece of legislation calling for the prosecution of Pelosi were introduced in, say, a newly Republican-run House of Representatives come January?

In the mid 1960s, education policy took a wrong turn, away from America’s founding principles. That was when President Lyndon B. Johnson, as a part of his War on Poverty, created the Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965 (ESEA). It was the first major federal foray into local schools.

Our Constitution is almost dead. It is being killed by judges who ignore the actual text of the document but find heretofore unknown devices in its “penumbras and emanations.”

The Commerce Clause of the U.S. Constitution grants Congress the power to “regulate commerce . . . among the several States,” and for more than 100 years federal lawmakers invoked it for a very narrow purpose—to prevent states from imposing trade barriers on each other. But today members of Congress act as if it gives them the authority to do just about anything—including forcing you to eat your vegetables.

One common way of thinking about foreign policy is that it exists in its own world, separate from domestic policy or the first principles on which a nation is founded. According to this view , the job of the foreign policy expert is to deal dispassionately with the world as it is, making no distinction between democracies and dictatorships, and shaping policy solely by cold-hearted consideration of the national interest.

Its tragic how the left is suddenly referring to the constitution as a guarantor of rights and not as irrelevant to government. The Leftist in Chief chastised those in opposition to the ground zero mosque by firmly reminding them that the Muslims have a constitutional right to build the mosque and he is right.

“We the people” are the central concern of the Constitution, as well as its opening words, since it is a Constitution for a self-governing nation. But “we the people” are treated as an obstacle to circumvent by the current administration in Washington.

This administration has used many different ploys to circumvent the people’s right to debate their nation’s laws.
