Its like refusing to slow down for the iceberg on the Titanic. In the three months the super partisan Democrats on the committee have refused any spending cuts the debt has climbed $400 BILLION! The national debt is set to hit $15 TRILLION today 11-16-11.

The ongoing food fight between Obama and the Republicans is hiding the real game — spending ever-larger sums on ourselves and leaving ever-larger bills for our kids. This fiscal child abuse must stop. – CNN

At this point, virtually the entire global economy runs on credit, so when this debt bubble bursts things could get really, really messy.

“When he speaks no one listens .. the anti-E.F. Hutton”. “He’s out of ideas.” Krauthammer really focused on White House Press Secretary Jay Carney saying that Obama will have specific ideas on debt reduction. Krauthammer asks “will have?”, and then points out that the government announced today that the deficit for this fiscal year is already over 1 trillion dollars with two months to go and cumulatively Obama has now racked up over 4 trillion in deficits in just three years.

The media and the left have cast their lot with those who would bankrupt our nation rather than face the problem now. The Tea Party must increase its numbers, renegotiate this deal and do it right. If they fail, I shudder to think of what is in store for my children and grandchildren.

Enslaving future generations

[E]ven if Congress holds to the caps — and even if the “deficit reduction” targets established in the bill are achieved — the federal government’s spending binge will continue. If this is a “win” for the limited government crowd, I’d hate to see what the Beltway establishment would consider a “loss.”

this is potentially a big win for President Barack Obama, if you assume that his objective is advancing his re-election chances rather than enacting a progressive political agenda. – BI
