Just three days after the D.C. Naval Yard shooting, in a scene that plays out all too often in certain U.S. cities, 13 people were shot in a drive-by shooting at a gang-infested park in Chicago.

It’s a dishonest law, and counts on widespread ignorance and indifference among the population.

Each Chicago household is on the hook for more than $61,000.

Maybe America is waking up. My father is an “old geezer.” He is retired Air Force, a combat veteran and an old style conservative Democrat. That was before Democrats became socialists. He forwarded me the email below titled Old Geezers.

West reminds us that Democrats were the party of slavery, Jim Crow and the KKK and have now become the party of socialism shrouded in pretty words like “progressives.”

It’s time for Washington to acknowledge the problem and defund Obamacare.

We now have tens-of-millions of Americans who have come to believe not only that their lunch should be “free,” but also their health care, their transportation, their education, their phones, their housing, and so on.

This is just more evidence of Obama’s lawlessness and ideological cleansing for the “fundamental transformation” of America into a socialist “progressive” Marxist oligarchy.

The Rule of Law is necessary for freedom, justice, and equality to prevail, without it we are ruled by a government of men and women who make arbitrary decisions on a whim. When the Rule of Law is not respected, nobody is truly safe from government encroachment, intrusion, and abuse.

It wouldn’t be surprising to learn that Obama and his Attorney General would like to do everything possible to outlaw private schooling altogether, or at least homeschooling. But by what right do they make up law when it suits them, just because they happen to be in control right now? America was supposed to be a nation of laws, not of men.
