In Bravard County which is the home of the space shuttle program Obama campaigned on an expanded NASA space program, continued jobs for space program workers and a “vision” for US leadership in space. “Let me be clear. We cannot cede our leadership in space. That’s why I’m going to close the gap, insure that our space program does not suffer when the shuttle goes out of service. …by continuing to support NASA funding..”

University of Kentucky religious discrimination not an isolated case
It’s bad enough when private universities clamp down on the free exchange of ideas. But government-run institutions have often seemed to be the worst offenders of all, something the First Amendment cannot permit. The public is poorly served by a system of scientific research and funding that seems locked into reaching predetermined conclusions.

The Long Winter of 2010-2011 -global cooling?
The Earth has been in a cooling cycle since around 1998 as verified by meteorological satellite and other data. Piers Corbyn, an astrophysicist and leading forecaster, said “We’re now headed for a Maunder minimum of very low solar activity. The globe will be much cooler until about 2035, so there will be a lot more of these cold winters in Europe and the USA.”

Government continues climate lies with NASA, NOAA report
The public doubt about global warming has been increasing in recent years given Climategate, and how promises of warm snowless winters failed. After cold and snowy winters in 2007/08 and 2008/09, the winter of 2009/10 was the coldest ever in parts of the southeast, and in parts of Siberia and the coldest since 1977/78 or 1962/63 in many parts of the United States, Europe and Asia. This past December was the second coldest in the entire Central England Temperature record extending back to 1659. It was the coldest ever December in diverse locations like Ireland, Sweden, and Florida. Reluctantly, alarmists changed their tune and the promise of warm and snowless winters as recent as 4 years ago morphed into global warming means cold and snowy winters.

NASA now means ‘No Air or Space Anymore
When I first saw this story I thought it was political satire. When I realized it wasn’t, I started writing this column as therapy to help me through the realization of yet another signal that our nation is finished as a great power.
