Project Vote (a.k.a. Voting for America Inc.) is the voter registration/get out the vote arm of the ACORN empire of activism. Obama’s campaign paid another ACORN affiliate more than $800,000 to do voter work during the 2008 Democratic primary campaign.

The latest findings expand on a report the committee issued last year, which said that ACORN used overlapping charitable organizations to cover up that they were using their public funding for partisan political ends. The new report details both tactics and financial transactions between ACORN and its affiliates.

“Perceptions that ACORN is a charitable organization are simply wrong and part of ACORN’s efforts to deceive the American people,” Issa said.

President controlled labor? Sound like ACORN? SEIU? Organizing for America? Unions? Obama is not bashful about using tax dollars to fund a variety of groups to use as issue advocates and election campaigners. Is this so very different than Chavez?

With hundreds of million$ at stake for some businesses, backdoor unionizing, and leftist dreams of suppressing industry, a coalition of heavy spending lobbying groups is putting pressure on congress to call climate change legislation ‘jobs’ bill.

In another underhanded move to pay off union supporters, the Obama administration is going to allow ‘preference’ to contractors and suppliers that match union benefits and wages. The “High Road Contracting Policy” would allow companies to win federal bids without being the low bidder if they are union or match all union benefits and labor rules.
