In the apocolyptic Water World movie Dennis Hopper played the obsessed Deacon in charge of the Smokers on an oar powered tanker full of fuel adrift in the sea. As the hero gets things exploding and and Deacon’s followers are fleeing for their lives the little girl asked him ‘is this your big vision?’

Tonight Obama will give us his ‘big vision’. Despite the discrediting of the myth of CO2 causing global warming and in fact the theory of global warming itself becoming suspect, Obama will attempt to inspire the populace to sacrifice akin to World War II rationing to ‘save the planet’ and the latest mantra ‘free us from foreign oil’. Neither of these mythical goals will be accomplished by the proposed cap and trade bill now known as the American Power Act.
