Castro’s Confession – socialism has failed

Fidel Castro stunned the world this week by admitting socialism had failed in Cuba. The implication of the dictator’s statement is unclear, but one thing isn’t: Castro’s sycophants have some explaining to do.

EXCERPTS:

‘Castro, now 84 and semi-retired, made a surprisingly lucid admission about how 52 years of communist dictatorship have ruined his country. “The Cuban model doesn’t even work for us anymore,” he casually told the Atlantic’s Jeffrey Goldberg, a reporter he summoned to Havana to tell him his thoughts.’

‘But one thing is clear: Castro’s apologists in the West, who’ve marched in lockstep throughout his half-century of communist rule, have been hung out to dry. For years, they’ve held up Castro as some kind of alternate beacon to the U.S. and all its freedom and prosperity.’

FULL STORY

Will Obama admit socialism is a failure? Don’t hold your breath.

The plain and simple truth is that Obama is a Marxist. He told us in the campaign that he wanted to ’spread the wealth around’. He sat at the feet of avowed Marxist Jeremiah Wright for 20 years and claimed him as a mentor. He had a self proclaimed communist revolutionary on his White House staff as a ‘Green Jobs’ czar in Van Jones. In his own book Obama states that he sought out ‘The Marxist Professors’ in college and points out that he ‘went to socialist conferences’. His science czar, Holdren, and his recent appointment to Medicare & Medicaid, Berwick have both espoused beliefs in the ’spread the wealth’ philosophy which is Marxism.
