Senate Democrats think the $600 million hurry up border security bill they just passed will justify pursuing amnesty for illegals. “It will clear the path for restarting bipartisan discussions,” Mr. Schumer said.

The last bribe didn’t work out too well. Congress approved 700 miles of real border fence in 2006. Only 32 miles has been constructed. Meanwhile this administration ignores the very real security threat from terrorists, drug smuggling and human trafficking with a defacto amnesty of non-enforcement.

Obama spoke of trading border security for amnesty as long ago as 2004. In a speech to the radical group La Raza he promised he would not  ‘forget 12 the million undocumented’.
