Romney PAC Raises $4.7 Million to Lead Potential ’12 Presidential Hopefuls

Former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney raised $4.7 million for his federal political action committee last year, more than any other potential 2012 Republican presidential candidate

Another possible contender for the Republican presidential nomination, former Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty, 50, raised $2.1 million, the reports show. Former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee, who like Romney ran in 2008, raised $979,009.

Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin, the vice-presidential nominee on the 2008 Republican ticket headed by Senator John McCain, reported last week that she had raised $3.6 million last year.
