Allen West on the Congressional Black Caucus, foreign policy and the Obama jobs speech

September 14, 2011 08:32

“These liberal social welfare policies that the Democrat Party has put forth are failing in that community.”

On foreign policy:  “What worries me the most is that we have people at the strategic level that really don’t seem to have a clue about what is going on on the ground.”

West also mentioned the “uber liberals” hosting a GOP debate at the Reagan Ranch and NBC and GE connections to Obama.

On the jobs speech he said “its just another speech” and compared the president’s “jobs” bill to the Popeye character Wimpy saying I will gladly pay you Tuesday for a hamburger today but you know you are never going to get paid for that hamburger. According to wikipedia “This phrase is now commonly used to illustrate fiscal irresponsibility and still appears in modern comedies such as The Drew Carey Show and The Office.”
