Could it be that Warren Buffett asked him not to? Buffett bought Burlington Northern railroad which owns 1,000 miles of track in North Dakota. The ND oil boom is so great that shipping the oil out is the problem. Buffett’s railroad is cashing in big bucks transporting all the oil. The Keystone pipeline could transport that oil much cheaper than rail.

Environmental impact statements have already been done. Canadian oil makes us much less dependent on terrorist sponsoring nations for industry’s life blood. How does the dictator in chief stop this all by himself?
