The National Labor Relations Board, a group of unaccountable government bureaucrats, are currently attempting to ambush businesses and employees with union elections in as little as 10 days. Under previous rules, the overwhelming majority of union elections were held within 56 days after a petition was filed. However the NLRB’s new procedures will significantly accelerate the process, allowing an election to be held just 10 days after a petition to election is filed.
AFP is calling on the Senate to pass S.J.Res. 36 a resolution that will stop the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) from imposing such destructive ambush union election rules.

Simply put, there is no reason why businesses should be ambushed with union elections, giving them little to no time to respond and barring employees from being fully informed on all sides of the issue before voting. The NLRB’s ambush elections rule is yet another unnecessary burden on America’s job creators during a great time of economic strife and downturn in our country.
America cannot afford to allow the NLRB to play favorites at the expense of our job creators. The NLRB needs to go back to the drawing board and rewrite these misguided rules.Contact your senators today and demand they send the NLRB a strong signal by disapproving of this new regulation.
