MEP Farage agrees EC president is a communist

MEP Nigel Farage agrees that the European Commission president is a communist. Farage also calls him a complete “idiot.” Farage and other conservatives see the Eurozone as an attempt to create a socialist centralized government similar to the old Soviet Union.

EC President Barroso told G20 attendees “This crisis was not originated in Europe … this crisis originated in North America and much of our financial sector was contaminated by, how can I put it, unorthodox practices, from some sectors of the financial market.”

The current head of the European Commission has a history much like the U.S. president’s in that they were both socialists/Marxists/communists in their college days. According to Wikipedia:

“Barroso’s political activity began in his late teens, during the Estado Novo regime in Portugal, before the Carnation Revolution of 25 April 1974. In his college days, he was one of the leaders of the underground Maoist MRPP (Reorganising Movement of the Proletariat Party, later PCTP/MRPP, Communist Party of the Portuguese Workers/Revolutionary Movement of the Portuguese Proletariat).

In Obama’s autobiography “Dreams of My Father” he points out that he “sought out Marxist professors” and attended socialist events.

Is it any wonder that they both blame capitalism for the spend and debt problems in Europe and America? Socialism in Europe and in the U.S. has run into the brick wall of reality. Debt financed redistribution of wealth is unsustainable no matter whether you call it socialism, communism or fair share.

Margaret Thatcher said:

“And I will go on criticising Socialism, and opposing Socialism because it is bad for Britain — and Britain and Socialism are not the same thing. (…) It’s the Labour Government that have brought us record peace-time taxation. They’ve got the usual Socialist disease — they’ve run out of other people’s money.”

She saw the Eruozone disease for what it really is.

Even our own Fed Chairman Alan Greenspan warned of the coming debt crisis when he said:

“Stripped of its academic jargon, the welfare state is nothing more than a mechanism by which governments confiscate the wealth of the productive members of a society to support a wide variety of welfare schemes. A substantial part of the confiscation is effected by taxation.

But the welfare statists were quick to recognize that if they wished to retain political power, the amount of taxation had to be limited and they had to resort to programs of massive deficit spending, i.e., they had to borrow money,by issuing government bonds, to finance welfare expenditures on a large scale.”

No country in Europe or in North-America can perpetually spend more than it has. At some point the producers stop producing. Governments do not create wealth. They only destroy it by giving it to those who will vote to keep them in power.

Our founders knew this. They set up the Constitution to LIMIT the power of the federal government. That is why Obama and his socialist Democrats (Progressives) despise the Constitution and want it to be malleable. They want to shape it to suit their own desires.

“We must not let our rulers load us with perpetual debt. We must make our election between economy and liberty or profusion and servitude. If we run into such debt, as that we must be taxed in our meat and in our drink, in our necessaries and our comforts, in our labors and our amusements, for our calling and our creeds… [we will] have no time to think, no means of calling our miss-managers to account but be glad to obtain subsistence by hiring ourselves to rivet their chains on the necks of our fellow sufferers… And this is the tendency of all human governments. A departure from principle in one instance becomes a precedent for [another]… till the bulk of society is reduced to be mere automatons of misery… And the fore-horse of this frightful team is public debt. Taxation follows that, and in its train wretchedness and oppression.” (Thomas Jefferson in a letter to Samuel Kercheval, July 12, 1816

We have let our rulers load us up with perpetual debt. Now we hear the constant cry for more taxation couched in the reasoned tones of “fair share” lies. We have only to look at Greece for the results. Even closer to home just look at California.

Yes, the socialists like Barroso, Chavez, Castro and Barrack all blame capitalism for the inevitable demise of their own bankrupt ideology. But what has their ideology wrought? Porter Stansberry noted in his column “The Corruption of America“:

It has now been almost 50 years since the start of the War on Poverty, President Lyndon Johnson’s program to radically increase domestic welfare spending. These programs and their various spinoffs have been at the center of Democratic politics ever since. In fact, if you compare speeches about these programs from the mid-1960s until today, you will find the verbiage never changes. Obama is merely echoing the same calls for “social justice” that Robert Kennedy used in his ill-fated 1968 campaign for president. [emphasis added]

But besides the soaring rhetoric, besides the promise of a “chicken in every pot,” what have these programs actually achieved? The wholesale destruction of urban communities across America, communities that are overwhelmingly African American. If the intention of these programs had been to destroy black communities, you could have hardly done more damage than the last 50 years of Democratic policy.

Look no further than Detroit or even our nation’s capital Washington D.C to see the destructive influence of this ideology brought o fruition. But facts don’t matter to ideologues. The myth of beneficent power is corrupting. Like the magical ring of power in “Lord of the Rings” those who think they can wield it for good are deluded by the unquenchable thirst for more and more power over others.

C.S.Lewis said it best when he said: “Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims  may be the most oppressive.” It also the easiest to imagine as justified. Hence the leftist’s philosophy of the ends justifies the means.

Those who would enslave you are sincere in their belief that it is for your own good. They are sincere in their belief that THEY know best how to run your life and the lives of all your fellow citizens.

If you would just give them the ring of power, they would wield it for your own good. And if you will not freely give them the ring of power they will try and take it.

If you think war is too harsh a word look at the property destruction of the recent protests of the occupy movement; the fires in the streets, attacks on police, shutting down major ports, disrupting traffic of people on their way to work, taking over public lands.

And what are the demands of these unruly mobs with their socialist banners and communist slogans?

They demand punishment for anyone who is successful. They demand seizure of the property of others to be then FAIRLY redistributed among themselves.

We have a government that has indebted you, your children and even your grandchildren in an unprecedented spending spree that has increased our national debt over 60% in just 3 years; a government that has piled up more debt than any other in history.

We have a government that has made over half of the population dependent on hand outs in some way.

We have a president who is giving away billions of dollars to campaign supporters while smiling and telling you it is for your own good; a president that is holding the nation hostage to special interests groups by denying production of our own energy resources.

A president that is squandering the prosperity of generations to hold on to the ring of power.
