What concerns the majority heterosexual component of society is the aggressive way the homosexual lifestyle and agenda for same-sex marriage is being advocated. It has become a political and educational issue.

Because statists are convinced they’re free, they inevitably blame the economic woes on freedom and free enterprise rather than on the government’s socialistic redistributive programs and its interventionist economic policies. Thus, statists call on the government to move further along the spectrum toward more government control over economic activity and wealth.

Defender of Democracy or Marxist community agitator?

Princeton University professor Cornel West criticized President Barack Obama last week, saying he has a predilection toward the upper middle class and keeps his distance from “free black men who will tell him the truth.” In tonight’s Impact segment, Bill spoke to Marc Lamont Hill, a professor at Columbia University, about West’s comments and why some of Obama’s supporters feel the Civil Rights activist’s words are justified.

Government exists to protect your freedom from violent criminals, not to give you an income. This is the point that at least half (and I fear more than half) of the American population does not get, and so long as this remains the case … we’re going down, as a society.

If there is one thing that identifies American exceptionalism, it is a fierce individualism. Americans don’t like to be told what to do — especially by bureaucrats.

Rather than healing old wounds and developing a cohesive sense of national identity independent of race or ancestry, Obama instead has rubbed salt in those wounds.

“I’m sick and tired of liberals in this country, most of whom are white, telling conservatives that they’re racist because they don’t adopt their big government, authoritarian, top-down policies that seek to divide this country on every front, including race,” Levin says.

The liberal vision of government is easily understood and makes perfect sense if one acknowledges their misunderstanding and implied assumptions about the sources of income. Their vision helps explain the language they use and policies they support, such as income redistribution and calls for the rich to give something back.
