You might think that three years of failure would at least cure the Obama administration of its arrogance, but you would be wrong. The FY 2013 budget is every bit as bitter a partisan document as its FY 2010 counterpart. Going on four years into his retirement, George W. Bush is still to blame for all of Obama’s shortcomings–along with the Republican Congress, of course. – Powerline

The American people are terribly spoiled and they do not possess the character to handle depression-like conditions with grace and dignity. In the years ahead, we are going to see rampant rioting and looting in our major cities. The crime sprees that we will witness in future years will be absolutely unprecedented.

While Greece is literally burning to the ground, the administration is giddily racking up more debt, blind to where this out-of-control spending leads. Apparently, the President believes birth control isn’t the only thing that Americans can get for “free.” He offered a $3.8 trillion budget, assuming that projects will just materialize on someone else’s dime.

Moody’s Investors Service cut the debt ratings of six European countries including Italy, Spain and Portugal and said it may strip France and the U.K. of their top Aaa ratings, citing Europe’s debt crisis. – Bloomberg

New poll: 92% of voters extremely or very interested in the election, and 72% saying they are following news from Washington extremely or very closely. At the same time, voters remain pessimistic about the country’s direction – 59% say things are off on the wrong track, 55% feel “mostly negative” about the economy, and 57% believe the federal government hurts economic growth.

Angry protesters in the capital threw rocks at the police, who fired back with tear gas. After nightfall, demonstrators threw Molotov cocktails, setting fire to more than 40 buildings, including a historic theater in downtown Athens, the worst damage in the city since May 2010, when three people were killed when protesters firebombed a bank.
