For a long time our debt-fueled prosperity has masked much of the social decay that has been festering underneath the surface, but now it is becoming increasingly apparent that the thin veneer of civilization that we all take for granted is beginning to disappear.

Mr. Obama isn’t even trying to win votes from those who disagree with him. He isn’t trying to change minds. He is trying to buy votes. He is betting his second term on the belief that there are now enough people dependent upon the government that they will vote for a handout instead of voting for a hand up. He is betting that America has been dumbed down enough and bribed enough to trade our heritage of freedom for the yoke of a guaranteed something instead of the opportunity for everything.

Turns out Obama is still using taxpayer dollars to prop up GM. The government is buying the cars nobody wants. GM’s stock price has fallen below what it was for the IPO leaving taxpayers still on the hook for about $24 billion and unlikely to get it back as GM continues to lose market share.

Democrat senate refuses to offer a budget for last three years. Where are the Democrats with spine enough to stand up to the corrupt leaderless Party that refuses to take action on this economic crisis? How can you keep sending these thieves back to Washington?

Those governments are all bankrupt. But much more serious than financial bankruptcy is their total moral and intellectual bankruptcy. At this point the Europeans are so craven and degraded they deserve to be indentured servants of the Chinese, which they will be.
