State Dept: Hezbollah Raising Funds Through Drug Cartels in South America But ‘No Credible Information’ of Terrorist Operations There

However, as CNSNews.com has reported, the non-partisan Congressional Research Service (CRS) says the U.S.-designated terrorist group Hezbollah is linked to drug traffickers in South America’s tri-border region, which includes Paraguay, Argentina, and Brazil, and is using the proceeds from trafficking cocaine into Europe and the Middle East to finance its operations.

Florida senator wants Venezuela on terrorist supporting list

Florida Senator George LeMieux calls on Congress to add Venezuela to the list of terrorist supporting countries. LeMieux and ten other senators sent a letter to Hillary Clinton in May warning of the danger growing in Venezuela and its close ties to Iran. There has been no response to the letter.

Totalitarianism and anarchy; authoritarianism and chaos – future of Latin America?

Today, a large part of the Latin American continent is in danger of collapsing into a situation that fluctuates between totalitarianism and anarchy; between authoritarianism and chaos. The region is also in danger of falling under the strange influence of insurgent and terrorist groups, drug cartels and distant countries that historically have been poles apart from the region’s culture and civilization (mainly Iran, China, and perhaps Russia). Soon, we will wake up to the day where we will find the nightmare not in Iraq or in Central Asia, but right here in our own backyard.
