[U]nions are killing all of the “blue” states isn’t a completely obvious and talked-about fact; all incremental investment that could possibly be done over the last few decades was either overseas or in non-union states. All of that investment COULD have benefited Michigan or Illinois or Wisconsin or Pennsylvania but instead it went to the US south, or overseas.

Connecticut Gov. Dannel Malloy announced Tuesday he will seek to fire 5,500 state employees and leave 1,000 vacancies unfilled after public employee unions rejected a $1.6 billion concession plan.

Soon after taking the oath of office, Obama undid union financial disclosure requirements mandated by the very same 1959 law. Before the Obama transparency rollback, unions had to fill out LM-2 forms reporting the total value of all benefits received by union officers, the names of parties involved in union asset transaction, and all union receipts.
