G-20 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors asked the United States, the IMF’s largest contributor, for a whopping $108 billion to rescue bankers around the world and the Obama Administration quickly obliged. The Democrat Congress, aided by a few Republicans, used a war spending bill to send bailout money to an international fund that’s partially-controlled by our enemies.

Obama’s leadership failed. Russia, China and Iran aren’t willing to compromise to support Obama’s agenda. Unfortunately, some of our military leaders are. He is leading them in transforming our military into a politically correct force.

Chavez announced that China will be giving Venezuela $20 billion in financing for long-term development projects in Venezuela. Is that to buy more arms from Russia? Nuclear help from Iran?

Obama White House has a backbone problem, showing toughness to allies in part only because it backs down when challenged by rivals such as Russia.

Rev. Mahoney, Michael McMonagle and Brandi Swindell were twice arrested in Tiananmen Square and deported from China during the Beijing Olympics for speaking out against the human rights abuses and violence of the Chinese government against their own people.

Thus the U.S. could use a little less finger-pointing at China… and a lot less foreign oil usage… if it really wants to correct its global trade imbalance. This is a huge argument against U.S. trade protectionism since protectionism would miss the largest cause of America’s trade deficit while only hurting U.S. export prospects by pissing off trade partners.

For the first time, the United States is explicitly committing not to use nuclear weapons against nonnuclear states that are in compliance with the Nuclear Nonproliferation Treaty, even if they attacked the United States with biological or chemical weapons or launched a crippling cyberattack.

Behind the rhetoric lie new drilling bans and leasing delays; soon to follow are burdensome new environmental regulations. Instead of “drill, baby, drill,” the more you look into this the more you realize it’s “stall, baby, stall.”
