Obama warned us in 2008 that under his plan “electricity rates would necessarily have to skyrocket.” He also told crowds that he would ask Americans to “sacrifice” by paying higher energy costs and higher gas prices. America had a collective brain freeze in electing Obama in 2008. Will we let it happen again?

Apparently, the president and vice-president are betting that enough voters believe so fervently in hope, change, and other good things that facts, basic economic knowledge, and common sense won’t burst their bubble.

Already having blown over $2 BILLION on failed green energy companies Obama hopes to convince you that you need to pay higher energy prices to funnel money to Democrat donor companies that have jumped on the Obama green train. Of course it’s your green they’re after. [update: an Arizona paper says it’s only 5 jobs]

Obama had the audacity to pressure Democrat senators to block approval of the Keystone XL pipeline which would provide millions of barrels of Canadian oil to the US and create thousands of real jobs. Obama seems to be doing everything he can to kill jobs and drive up gas prices. Not surprising when you remember his anti-energy secretary is infamous for saying the US needs to find a way to have higher gas prices like those in Europe. Obama himself warned in 2008 that under his plans energy rates would “necessarily skyrocket.” Look at what they do not what they say.

LOL. The most deceptive administration in history calls someone a liar? Gas was well below Gingrich’s proposed $2.50 a gallon when Obama took office. Obama chose an energy secretary who is infamous for stating that we need to have gas prices as high as those in Europe. When we see the natural results of that energy department and Obama gets called on it they get testy and start calling presidential candidates liars? Too funny except that we all feel the pain of higher energy costs which Obama said would “necessarily skyrocket” under his plan.

Bragging about seven green successes Obama conveniently leaves out the fourteen failures that have cost taxpayers billions and enriched Obama’s campaign contributors.

Despite recent lies by Obama Sen. Kyle list all the ways Obama’s actions are proving that he really does want higher gas and energy prices just as he promised in 2008 and as his own energy secretary has stated. Sen. Kyle also points out that higher energy costs drive up the cost of everything else.

Strapped consumers have to cut spending on other essentials to keep up with high gas prices which have risen 38 out of the last 39 days. Higher energy prices drive up the cost of everything. Remember Obama promised us higher energy prices in 2008 when he said “under my plan electricity rates would necessarily have to skyrocket.” That’s one promise he kept.

Obama’s anti-energy secretary who is infamous for saying we need higher gas prices like those in Europe doubled down on his goals of using less oil not lowering gas prices. When asked if the goal was to lower gas prices he said “No.”

Obama can’t fool all of the people all of the time. The GOP candidates call him out on his “anti-energy” secretary who wants gas prices as high as Europe’s. Obama’s Energy Secretary Steven Chu is on the record as having said we need higher gas prices like those in Europe.
