The future of Obamerica is a country full of corrupt government officials and tycoons. The future is an aristocracy of union bosses running their own guilds, corporate monopolies that change with each election and government officials with mansions and armed bodyguards.

Climate alarmism and pseudo science have justified all manner of regulations, carbon trading, carbon taxes, renewable energy programs and other initiatives that increase the cost of everything we make, grow, ship, eat, heat, cool, wear and do – and thus impair job creation, economic growth, living standards, health, welfare and ecological values.

Sustainable development is really just a disguised Marxism, with its top down control of economic decisions, violation of private property rights and emphasis on Social Justice, a term, incidentally, coined by non- other than Karl Marx (so what was your first clue?).

We do not sacrifice virgins, tossing them into volcanoes to ensure a good harvest, nor do we do rain dances during a drought any more. Some of us, however, are convinced that we are the first Americans to have ever experienced a drought, a hurricane, or a blizzard.

His cap and trade carbon tax plan didn’t pass congress even when Democrats controlled both houses. Doesn’t matter to king Obama. He is using the EPA to kill the coal industry and force up electricity rates by 15 to 20%. All for the mythical and disproved claim that that human energy use is causing the planet to warm.

The real effect of any carbon tax would be that American jobs, economic growth, living standards, health, dreams and lives would be sacrificed for nothing: no change in global atmospheric carbon dioxide concentrations or climate variability, and no reduction in out-of-control spending or deficits.

Using environmental rules to control people’s lives, restrict or roll back modern technology and living standards, and perpetuate poverty, misery and disease in poor countries – in the name of precaution, biodiversity, sustainable development and climate stabilization.

Obama’s nominee for interior secretary is another anti-energy, carbon taxing, wacko environmentalist consistent with Obama’s promise of making electricity rates “skyrocket.”

There is not a scintilla of evidence that reducing carbon dioxide to avoid global warming has any basis in science, but ample evidence that Obama sees it as a way to reduce the nation’s capacity to generate the energy—electricity—it requires for economic growth.
