What’s a warmist to do? The climate con has lost steam. Record cold snaps, growing sea ice, fraudulent data, conflicts of interest, conspiracy to conceal the truth and a vast array of skeptical scientists have closed the door on warming as a viable threat and even called the whole theory into question.

Let us note that General Electric has been in Barack Obama’s corner from day one and has positioned itself to be a prime beneficiary of the massive green scheming of America that Obama and his allies in Congress are perpetrating across our nation (via taxpayer money, subsidies, loans, mandates, rules, and regulations — an EPA in overdrive).

This legislation represents the latest installment in the Democrats’ campaign to increase the price of American energy and kill good-paying U.S. jobs in the energy sector and related industries that rely on it. But don’t be fooled. This ‘oil spill’ legislation will include many of the ‘green’ wish list that would have been in the cap and trade bill. This is a feint. Harry Reid called in a ‘neuroscience’ professor to figure out how to use the right words to get this done. Coal state Democrats are preventing any carbon tax or cap in the bill but everything else will get pushed through as a response to the oil crisis.

Prior to the Gulf disaster, the American Power Act (the Senate version of cap-and- trade) seemed all but dead. This is as it should be. But with the Senate back from the July 4 recess, either the American Power Act will be explicitly taken up or another clean energy bill will be proffered to which the key provisions of the American Power Act will be attached.
