Strapped consumers have to cut spending on other essentials to keep up with high gas prices which have risen 38 out of the last 39 days. Higher energy prices drive up the cost of everything. Remember Obama promised us higher energy prices in 2008 when he said “under my plan electricity rates would necessarily have to skyrocket.” That’s one promise he kept.

We should not be surprised by his detached attitude about America’s pain at the pump. He’s not interested in lowering the price of gas because exorbitantly high gas prices are one of his campaign promises.

Obama diverts North American oil to China – kills jobs
Could it be that Warren Buffett asked him not to? Buffett bought Burlington Northern railroad which owns 1,000 miles of track in North Dakota. The ND oil boom is so great that shipping the oil out is the problem. Buffett’s railroad is cashing in big bucks transporting all the oil. The Keystone pipeline could transport that oil much cheaper than rail.
