It’s pretty clear that we’re going to see some sort of military action against Iran’s nuclear infrastructure, either by Israel, the United States or even NATO. Recent words from Israeli policymakers, U.S. military action and even signals from the markets made that abundantly clear.

Oil Trades Near Six-Week High on Iran Threat to Strait of Hormuz Shipping
About 15.5 million barrels of oil a day, or a sixth of global consumption, passes through the Strait of Hormuz between Iran and Oman at the mouth of the Persian Gulf, according to the U.S. Energy Department. Iran’s navy started a 10-day exercise east of the passage that involved the use of submarines, ground- to-sea missile systems and torpedoes, Press TV said Dec. 24. – Bloomberg
ExxonMobil’s 2012 Outlook for Energy
IRVING, Texas, Dec 08, 2011 – Less-carbon-intensive fuels, particularly natural gas, gain market share, while coal peaks and begins a decline for the first time in modern history. –Gas from shale and other unconventional rock formations will account for 30 percent of global gas production by 2040. –Demand growth would be more than four times the projected 30 percent without expected gains in efficiency. America’s Energy Future is Bright, If Government Doesn’t Shut It Down
America does not have to act like an energy-poor nation. We import half our oil because of the political decisions we make, not because we lack abundant oil resources.
Soft-Landing Nonsense – Global Recession is Here
Should central banks step in, watch for gold, crude, and oil prices to rise, and little else to happen. Central banks and world governments have applied so much totally useless Keynesian and Monetarist stimulus to prevent the inevitable, there may be no landing at all (soft or hard), until a global crash.
Obama diverts North American oil to China – kills jobs
Could it be that Warren Buffett asked him not to? Buffett bought Burlington Northern railroad which owns 1,000 miles of track in North Dakota. The ND oil boom is so great that shipping the oil out is the problem. Buffett’s railroad is cashing in big bucks transporting all the oil. The Keystone pipeline could transport that oil much cheaper than rail.
