Under the Ryan budget, spending still rises in every category (except ObamaCare, which Ryan would keep flat at zero). Outlays are still going up, but in Washington, Democrats call these “draconian cuts.”

Biden will be mince meat in any debate with Ryan. But are Americans ready for grownups? Obama and his sycophant press has nothing to offer except personal demagoguery and distractions from Obama’s devastating record.

“instead of working together where we agree, the President has opted for divisive rhetoric and the broken politics of the past. He is going from town to town, impugning the motives of Republicans, setting up straw men and scapegoats, and engaging in intellectually lazy arguments, as he tries to build support for punitive tax hikes on job creators.”

Paul Ryan takes Chris Matthews to task in regards to the budget, deficits, and what Republicans propose to do.

“We have a crushing burden of debt that is coming to hit our economy. This is what it all comes down to. We are driving our country and our economy off of a cliff.” “You can’t have sovereignty, self determination as a country if we are relying on other governments to cash flow half of our deficit. This is where we are.”

Van Jones a self avowed communist and former White House staffer tells an audience that Paul Ryan’s budget will destroy more infrastructure than al-qaeda. Jones was Obama’s “green jobs” czar who is a spread the wealth (take it form those who have it and give it to people you like) activist that now works for the Center for American Progress which advises Obama.

Many of those on the extreme left oppose reforming Medicare for another reason entirely: they desire a state-run monopoly of healthcare. They prefer a socialized healthcare model. To attain that goal, the left needs to merely block reforms to Medicare. Gridlock and stalemate will assure Medicare’s eventual bankruptcy and therefore its subsequent nationalization (a la Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac).

Americans will hear none of this. “Preserve my Medicare,” they scream. “Just reform it.” It’s literal madness. Instead of facing reality, we’ll have to watch the deficit balloon by trillions and trillions of dollars, and watch the politicians start to transfer money from people who will be born in the twenty-fifth century, instead of the twenty-third century, to pay for it all.

If there is one thing that identifies American exceptionalism, it is a fierce individualism. Americans don’t like to be told what to do — especially by bureaucrats.
