Speaker Boehner on Obama’s “we’re better off” claim: “Are You Kidding Me?”
Boehner was asked to respond to the president’s assertion that the country is “better off now” with his policies than the country was four years ago. Even with 1.2 million jobs lost since the ‘stimulus’ was enacted and the unemployment rate stuck above the eight percent promised, President Obama said, “I think that we are better off now than we would have been if I hadn’t taken all the steps that we took.” To which Speaker Boehner said, “Are you kidding me?”
Boehner’s response to Obama’s campaign debt speech
“The solution to this crisis is not complicated: if you’re spending more money than you’re taking in, you need to spend less of it. There is no symptom of big government more menacing than our debt. Break its grip, and we begin to liberate our economy and our future.”
Boehner backs Cantor in debt talks
Senate leader Harry who led the senate in increasing the debt by $5 trillion in the last six years has said Rep. Eric Cantor should not be in the debt negotiations. Speaker Boehner defended Cantor saying “we have been in this fight together … we’re in the foxholes … what we’re trying to do is solve a problem that has eluded Washington for decades.”

“Listen, Medicare is going bankrupt. The Medicare trustees have said if we don’t make changes, this program is going to go bankrupt and benefits are necessarily going to have to be cut. Nobody wants to see seniors benefits being cut. So we’ve got to do something. Ok…they don’t like our plan. What’s their plan? And, frankly their plan is to do nothing.”

Harry Reid lies about Tea Party – Reid is 15 points below Speaker Boehner
Reid forgets to mention that the Democrat Party unpopularity is the same as the Tea Party. A Rasmussen report shows Reid’s own popularity with a 50% unfavorable rating which is worse than the Tea Party he loves to hate. Reid’s favorability is a paltry 30% which is 8 points below McConnell and 15 points below Speaker Boehner
Boehner says Obama would like higher energy prices
In an interview with RedCountyTV Speaker Boehner said that Obama is in the camp with those who want higher gas prices. “He’d like to see the price of energy higher.”
