President Obama wants to change immigration policy based on his political agenda, not what’s in the law. The Obama Administration seems to believe that the President has the authority to set aside a state law because it is contrary to his political agenda, suspend the enforcement of federal laws for political reasons, and seize from Congress the legislative power to grant an amnesty. So much for a country governed by the rule of law, not the rule of man.

Even as President Obama declares America’s border with Mexico safe, members of his own party in Arizona say he’s dead wrong. Drug violence all along the border is surpassing the violence in Iraq and Afghanistan — an important fact behind Arizona’s popular immigration law.

At least 21 people have been killed in a gunfight between two of Mexico’s most powerful drug cartels near the border with the US, officials have said.

This was a Zetas camp (a Mexican cartel w/ Guatemalan ties) that was found near Higueras, Nuevo Laredo, Mexico. The “state” of Nuevo Laredo borders the Rio Grande, and this town is a little over 100 miles away from Laredo, TX.
