The American people are being robbed of their livelihoods, their security and their freedom. President Obama makes grand sweeping gestures and delivers soaring rhetoric about helping the poor and achieving fairness. But he merely draws our attention away from the hand that is reaching deep into our pockets.

“At just 63.5 percent, participation in the labor force remains very low by historical standards and below last year’s average of 63.7 percent.”

U.S. has “turned Japanese” with a near lost decade of job creation. We should expect results that are similarly poor as in Japan in coming decades: we use the same policy prescription for the same ailment, why wouldn’t we have the same result?

Current participation at its lowest level in almost 35 years.

“That’s a kind of ugly secret of the American labor market,” [] “Part of the reason our unemployment rates have been low, until recently, is that a lot of people who would have trouble finding jobs are on a different program.”

Perhaps a lowering participation rate in the job market is good news for a government whose primary mission is to feed, clothe and medically treat us, and to gain power over people through doing so.

Obama and his sycophant press focus on sensationalist gun control while the economy slides . 22.6 million people still unemployed or underemployed. A rash of activity last quarter to avoid tax increases will probably show a bump in the economy before it continues its downward spiral. More ….
