When gas prices hit $4 a gallon in 2008, candidate Barack Obama said it was due to previous failed energy policies. Now that prices are heading still higher, President Obama calls it progress. – IBD

These are just a few of many examples of phony and misleading claims by the White House that are beginning to be challenged by the mainstream media, but which still are not getting nearly the attention they deserve. Fact checking should be a process reflected in every article or story. The problem is that these stories don’t have any traction in the broadcast media, and thus, are largely ignored.

Doesn’t Newt understand that its not polite to tell the truth about Obama? The Nobel Peace Prize winner has brought us to the brink of war in the Middle East with the terrorist state of Iran inevitably getting nuclear weapons. Obama has made us extremely vulnerable to Middle East oil by doing all he can to stop energy production in America and killing the Keystone pipeline which would have brought Canadian oil to the US.

We are surrounded every day by the glories of free enterprise and risk tasking. We don’t have to lobby for the progress. We don’t have to vote for it. We don’t have to stop our lives and get involved in some stupid pressure group and march around with signs that say: “we want to do our grocery shopping through vending machines!!”

As anyone who reads this site knows, I am not a fan of government, certainly not as it exists today. Thus, my collection undoubtedly suffers from “selection bias.” Even so, the number and uniformity of the negative quotes overwhelmed me.

Is there anyone who thinks disability fraud is less than 10%? If not, then the unemployment rate would be at least 9.9% assuming those in fraudulent claims started looking for work.
