UN uses warming myth to justify tax on American families

June 14, 2012 05:40

We’ve warned you that the climate myth is all about the money. UN leaders and other globalists want more power and influence as a global government.

The UN’s International Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) report has been thoroughly discredited and shown to be patently false in its assumptions and predictions. There has been no global warming for fifteen years. Even UN officials have admitted that it’s all about redistributing money not the environment.

The global push for carbon taxes has failed so now the UN globalists are suggesting an energy tax on developed countries in the UN draft agenda.

Joel Gehrke at Washington Examiner reports on the UN Rio +20 conference:

“Diplomats at the United Nations Conference on Sustainable Conference in Rio de Janeiro next week will consider proposals that would levy taxes on American families and energy industries in order to support international efforts to combat global warming, according to a draft agenda for the conference.

….

“The proposal would provide ‘a target of .015 to .020 percent of gross national product for official development assistance to least developed countries.’ That plan would cost $1,325 for an American family of four, according to CFACT.”

The draft report reads like a leftist’s dream of doublespeak which boils down to using concern for the environment as justification for the “transfer of wealth.”

“Governments must address the intensifying land and natural resource conflicts arising from resource extractive industries – oil, gas and mining, as well as logging and export-oriented forestry and agriculture – which transfer wealth away from local peoples, while degrading ecosystems and creating poverty. Rio+20 must signal the need for strong international standards for corporate accountability addressing the social, cultural and environmental pillars of sustainable development.” [emphasis added]

These vague pleasant sounding goals are typical of socialists who hide behind words to push an anti-capitalist agenda that centralizes power in the few and eliminates freedom of the individual.  “Sustainable development” is code for central planning and greater government control of every aspect of life.

The UN has become a political tool of radical leftists who are supported primarily by US taxpayers under the misguided assumption that it does more good than harm.

You can recognize the mantra of the left in the UN leader’s statement also from The Washington Examiner:

Rio+20 is a once-in-a-generation opportunity to make real progress towards the sustainable economy of the future,” UN Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon said at a press conference last week.”We aspire to nothing less than a global movement for generational change.” [emphasis added]

Change is the new hope of the left. Where have we heard that before? But it all SOUNDS so good.

Our own president is running around the country pushing the same strategy here. Billions of dollars have been wasted on renewable energy and he constantly attacks the oil, gas and coal industry. His EPA rules have eliminated any chance of new coal plants and are causing the closing of many existing plants even though America gets over 50% of its electricity from coal.

Obama promised in 2008 that under his plan electricity rates would skyrocket. That is one promise he has kept. Now the globalists want to go even further and tax every American family another $1,300 a year. That’s change for you.
